This opportunity is in the Business Development department.
The Business Development Department serves as a liaison between brokers and underwriters, advocating the position of each to identify production sources and achieve revenue goals within the designated territory. The team is comprised of dynamic individuals who value collaboration, creativity, innovation, and teamwork. We rely on data and technology to guide our next steps, and we foster a consultative sales approach that listens to our clients' needs and tailors customized solutions.

Role Description:

As an Account Executive, you will represent Safety National in a professional manner that aligns with the goals and objectives of the company while supporting the Business Development Department. In this role, you will act as a key liaison between brokers and underwriting partners, advocating for each to drive new business, cross-sell opportunities, and renewal success within your assigned territory. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to develop and execute complex territory strategies, strengthen broker relationships, and increase Safety National's market presence. Your ability to work independently, travel frequently, and leverage sales technology will be essential as you help achieve growth, retention, and visibility goals across the region.

Qualifications:

Education:
A bachelor's degree in risk management, business administration, accounting, finance, economics or a related field is required.

Required Qualifications:



  • A minimum of 5 or more years of commercial insurance or related industry experience
  • Experience with Workers' Compensation and casualty insurance products
  • Experience with or aptitude for insurance sales
  • Strong working knowledge of the insurance broker network within an assigned territory
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently (approximately 50% or more)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and sales database software such as Salesforce
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our Dallas Office, located at 5050 Quorum Dr, Dallas TX 75254. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated success managing and growing a defined sales territory
  • Experience collaborating closely with underwriting and service teams
  • Experience representing an insurance carrier at industry conferences and events
