Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION:
Coordinate incoming and outgoing plant activities including communicating production scheduling of finished and semi-finished goods as well as raw material supply and demand.



Pay rate: $29.25/hr


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Monitors and maintains incoming raw materials relative to plan production needs
* Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
* Monitors incoming and outgoing shipments, comparing identifying information and counting, weighing and/or measuring items to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records.
* Uses forklifts to load trailers/ unload trailers/ store finished and raw materials in storage racks / manage FIFO product management
* Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
* Acts as liaison between Seneca and sister plant(s) production control group.
* Assists in optimizing production management based on efficiency relative to order demand.
* Enters data into the database for inventory management (SAP)
* Fills out all paperwork and inventory tracking documents necessary for shipping, receiving and accurate inventory control
* Supplies & removes products to and from the production floor
* Works overtime and on weekends when needed
* Moves pallets of finished goods and raw materials within a warehouse and manufacturing environment
* Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:* Follow the production schedule as issued by production control.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping and recycling practices in your work area as necessary to support 6S
* Accepts and processes deliveries
* Palletizes, wraps and processes for shipment all outgoing products
* Complete all required computer and paperwork
* Participate in scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities
* Operation of motorized handling devices including Lift truck, walk behind, core extractors, and electric pallet jack
* Wears all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Personal Food Safety (PFS): Beard/Hair Net, hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes. Also wear any additional safety PPE as required.
* Ability to interface effectively with employees, vendors and customers of all levels.
* Flexibility within a high performance work environment.
* Able to work without close supervision.
* Able to follow instructions and make decisions based on data obtained.
* Computer knowledge and 1-2 years of Windows applications, SAP and Sym-ple experience.
* Must be able to follow our safety guidelines.
* Education: High school diploma/GED, or equivalent schooling.
* Successfully pass a criminal background screening and drug test
* SAP "Super User" (required)
* At least 5 years of continuous service at a manufacturing facility (required).
* 2-3 years of manufacturing equipment operation experience (preferred)
* Experience working in a warehouse 2+ years preferred
* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., and stand for periods of up to 3 hours at a time
* Basic hand tool skills
* Must be able to perform repetitive assembly using hands and arms which includes bending, reaching and stretching
* Bi-lingual skills in English and Spanish a plus
* Experience driving a forklift (previous forklift license)
* Should be computer literate with a working knowledge of Office 365, Excel and Word. Familiar with FedEx and UPS shipping software preferred. Experience receiving, shipping, palletizing, pallet wrapping and labeling products. Outstanding attention to detail, and a self-starter (ability to work without continuous direction) desired. A warehouse career-orientated individual highly desired.



MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Has no formal managerial responsibility, but may provide guidance to colleagues (e.g., provides coaching, assigns work, provides input into hiring decisions and evaluating performance).
