Duties and Responsibilities
A postdoc position is available for a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Fellow to join Dr. Abdullah's lab at the Center for Translation Research and Education within the Department of Surgery at Loyola University Chicago. The ideal candidate will perform research with a strong emphasis on digital health, particularly the innovative application of wearable sensor data analysis and mobile health (mHealth) application development. The goal of this research is to enhance surgical outcomes and improve the quality of healthcare for both adult and pediatric patients. The successful candidate will be a crucial part of a highly interactive, multidisciplinary team, working on translational research. We are seeking someone who is adept at project management, has excellent time-management skills, and possesses strong communication skills.

M.D. or PhD Required
Qualifications

  • A qualified candidate must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field such as biomedical engineering, computer science, public health, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in programming languages for data analysis (e.g., Python, R) and experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and wearable sensor data analysis is desirable. We expect you to be able to efficiently collect, organize, and analyze data and to initiate new or modified procedures based on the latest developments in digital health technologies.
  • Preferences will be given to candidates who are good at tasks, have good time management skills, and have strong communication skills.

Certificates/Credentials/Licenses

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
