Meet the Team

You will join Cisco Legal's Regulatory & Compliance Ethics & Compliance team. The Regulatory & Compliance team is comprised of lawyers, operational specialists, program managers, engineers, and experts focused on topics including ethics and compliance, data and privacy, global trade and telecom, ESG, and cyber and national security regulations. You will partner with your colleagues in Legal and numerous other functions across the company to have an immediate impact with your analytic rigor, business judgment, and ability to get things done.

Your Impact

You will play a critical role in the design and implementation of Cisco's Ethics and Compliance Program, helping to ensure compliance with global anti-fraud and anti-corruption laws, regulations, industry standards, and Cisco's Code of Business Conduct. In this position, you will apply subject matter expertise and strong analytical, project and change management, and communication skills to develop and handle a wide range of compliance initiatives, enabling the business to take smart risks quickly and responsibly. You will build and maintain strong relationships with the Ethics & Compliance Team and stakeholders across functions, leveraging Cisco's culture of collaboration to drive impact. You will maintain a deep understanding of Cisco's Strategy and Guiding Principles-to drive durable growth, think really big, and play to win-as well as our business objectives and culture, ensuring the Ethics & Compliance Program is aligned with Cisco's core values and strategic vision.

The role includes:

  • Ensuring adherence to relevant laws, standards, and Cisco's Code of Business Conduct through the design and implementation of robust compliance policies, processes, internal controls, learning, communications, monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement-always with a focus on operational excellence and driving data-based ethical decision-making.
  • Driving compliance initiatives, including in relation to gifts, travel, and entertainment; conflicts of interest; risk assessment; third-party management; and mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments.
  • Providing timely, commercially minded guidance, embedding Cisco's principles of transparency and accountability into all business operations.
  • Promoting Cisco's innovation strategy by using automation, AI, and data in compliance initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Designing data dashboards; analyzing metrics; identifying trends, risk areas, and strategic priorities; and translating sophisticated risk and control data into actionable, clear insights for management reporting, supporting Cisco's data-driven culture.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors + 5 years of related experience, or Masters + 2 years of related experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of global anti-fraud and anti-corruption laws, relevant guidance, enforcement actions, and ethics and compliance program developments, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.
  • Experience derisking conflicts of interest and transactions that pose high risk for fraud and corruption and researching, designing, and implementing end-to-end compliance initiatives, including policies, processes and tools, learning and engagement, monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Superior listening skills and a high degree of discretion and tact; ability to be viewed as a trusted resource among colleagues and employees with the ability to conduct informal counseling and coaching.
  • Excellent verbal and written audience-centric communication skills with the appropriate tact, diplomacy, and ability to effectively influence individuals of varying backgrounds, learning styles, and seniority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effectively prioritizes tasks and manages workload to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes within established deadlines.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and proactive problem-solving in response to evolving strategies, priorities, responsibilities, and changes within ethics and compliance.
  • Formal project and change management training and experience.
  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP or CCEP-I), Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Leadership Professional in Ethics & Compliance (LPEC).
  • Experience working in the technology industry and managing channel risks.

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco's plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:

  • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees

  • 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco

  • Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees

  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)

  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours ofunused sick timecarried forwardfrom one calendar yearto the next

  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members

  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer

For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

  • .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

  • 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

  • 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and

  • Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:

New York City Metro Area:

$132,300.00 - $200,100.00

Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:

$117,300.00 - $219,300.00

* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
