Job Summary:

The Technology Leader will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the future of work In the People, Policy & Purpose (3P) organization and across Cisco, with a solid focus on the adoption and integration of AI-powered solutions. This leader will drive the identification, prioritization, and implementation of high-impact AI use cases as part of Cisco executive leadership team's "AI for Internal Use" initiative. By collaborating with AI leads and business process owners across multiple functions, the Technology Leader will deliver innovative technology strategies that reduce operational friction, decrease costs, and enable employees to focus on higher-value work. Strong data analysis skills are essential, as this role requires evaluating large and complex datasets to identify trends, measure impact, and advise decision-making. This role demands visionary leadership, deep technical expertise, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills to ensure successful adoption of ground-breaking technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AI Vision & Strategy:
    Research, analyze, and forecast emerging technologies-especially AI, automation, and digital collaboration tools-to create a technology vision that advances the future of work. Develop and communicate an actionable strategy for identifying, evaluating, and implementing AI use cases within 3P and beyond.
  • Use Case Roadmap & Prioritization:
    Partner with business process owners and AI leads to identify, assess, and prioritize business use cases where AI can drive measurable impact. Develop a comprehensive roadmap and case for AI initiatives, focusing on reducing task time, lowering costs, and increasing revenue.
  • Data Analysis & Insights:
    Leverage strong analytical skills to work with large and complex datasets using Excel and other data tools. Analyze data to identify patterns, measure business impact, validate AI use cases, and inform strategic decisions. Present findings in clear, actionable formats for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Solution Development & Delivery:
    Lead the development and delivery of AI-enabled solutions, including build/buy/partner evaluations. Oversee feasibility studies, pilot programs, and full-scale implementations across prioritized use cases, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with security and compliance standards.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    Build strategic relationships across 3P and Cisco, collaborating with product managers, engineers, data scientists, designers, and stakeholders to define requirements, goals, success metrics, and timelines for AI initiatives.
  • Change Management & Adoption:
    Drive organizational change by championing AI adoption, creating clear communication plans, and supporting business units through the transformation journey. Ensure that new technologies are embedded in the flow of work and deliver tangible business outcomes.
  • Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement:
    Define and track KPIs for implemented AI use cases. Continuously analyze results, gather feedback, and iterate to enhance business impact and user experience.
  • Technology Scouting & Vendor Management:
    Evaluate external technology partners and vendors for potential integration opportunities. Manage relationships and ensure third-party solutions meet organizational requirements.
  • Communication & Influence:
    Present complex technical concepts and AI use case outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership. Prepare and deliver briefings, proposals, and project updates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology roles, with a focus on leading AI, automation, or advanced technology initiatives.
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and scaling complex technology solutions in large organizations.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, automation platforms, and digital workplace transformation.
  • Expertise in the design of great "human in the loop" UX for AI-powered solutions
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience working with large datasets using Excel and other analytics tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects from ideation to implementation.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with change management and technology adoption frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, AI/ML certifications).
  • Experience with data analytics, business intelligence, or process automation tools.
  • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.
  • Background in delivering technology solutions in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business case development, and problem-solving skills.

Message to applicants applying to work in the U.S. and/or Canada: The starting salary range posted for this position is $155,100.00 to $200,500.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco's plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:

  • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees

  • 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco

  • Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees

  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)

  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours ofunused sick timecarried forwardfrom one calendar yearto the next

  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members

  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer

For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

  • .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

  • 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

  • 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and

  • Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:

New York City Metro Area:

$187,000.00 - $278,700.00

Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:

$168,800.00 - $246,900.00

* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
