The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing regular financial statements including supporting schedules and transaction activities while ensuring accurate and relevant information is provided to the company's decision makers in a timely manner. The Senior Accountant must be highly motivated, thrive in a dynamic environment, and be comfortable with multi-tasking.

Responsibilities?

  • Assists in month-end close activities including but not limited to review and analysis of income statement and balance sheet accounts.
  • Preparation and review of COGS-related accruals and monthly close activities.
  • Review rent and lease-related expenses.
  • Ensure completion of monthly close on a timely basis.
  • Assists in the preparation of year-end audit working papers as assigned.
  • Supports Accounting team with workflow processes improvements and other related duties as necessary.
  • Managing the closing process: making required adjusting and accrual journal entries, income statement and balance sheet fluctuation analysis, audit ready account analysis and reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, meeting tight closing deadlines, adherence to SOX requirements.
  • Facilitation of annual financial/SOX audits and audited financial report preparation.
  • Provide support to the monthly closing and reporting process.
  • Other assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • 3-5 years related experience in Accounting
  • 3-5 years experience in data center, IT and/or REIT industries
  • Preferred financial accounting software knowledge, ideally NetSuite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite, Excel proficient
  • Solid organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
