What You'll Do As a Labor & Birth RN, you'll utilize the nursing process to provide exceptional care for mothers, infants, and families through every stage of the childbirth experience. Clinical Excellence Develop and implement individualized plans of care Monitor and manage laboring and high-risk patients Recognize and respond to emergent situations Utilize evidence-based practice to guide patient care Advocate for mothers, babies, and families Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams Critical Thinking & Leadership Manage complex patient assignments Independently evaluate changing patient conditions Lead and respond effectively during emergencies Serve as a clinical resource for peers Participate in quality improvement initiatives Patient & Family Education Provide individualized education based on patient needs Support families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care Promote positive outcomes through effective teaching and communication Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited nursing program (expected) Current RN License (or Compact License) BLS Certification (AHA) Additional Certifications NRP Required ACLS Required Intermediate Fetal Heart Rate Training Provided for Labor RNs Preferred Passion for Women's Services Strong critical thinking skills Commitment to teamwork and compassionate care ????
