Responsibilities:
* Operate and monitor forming equipment to process materials used in the production of aircraft transparencies, ensuring adherence to established procedures and safety protocols.
* Execute the forming processes to shape materials into specified configurations, ensuring that all dimensions and tolerances are met.
* Oversee the completion of production runs, ensuring that all transparencies are produced to the required specifications and quality standards.
* Conduct thorough inspections of finished products using appropriate measuring instruments and visual assessments to ensure compliance with military quality standards and specifications.
* Maintain accurate records of production processes, material usage, and inspection results to ensure traceability and compliance with military regulations.
* Work closely with team members, including supervisors and quality control personnel, to meet production goals and address any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
* Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment.
* Identify and troubleshoot any issues with processes or equipment, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and product quality.
Education and experience:
*High school diploma/GED
*Technical training in manufacturing processes or a related field is preferred.
* Previous experience as a forming operator or in a similar role
* Aerospace or military industry experience is a plus
Skills and knowledge:
* Must be a U.S citizen
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise specifications.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
* Proficient in operating forming equipment and understanding material properties is expected.
* Physical ability to complete job duties, which may include standing for long periods or lifting objects with an established maximum weight
*Ability to follow directions accurately
*Attention to detail and organization skills
*Strong verbal and written communication skills
*Ability to lift up to 50lbs
* Must be a U.S citizen
* Overtime Available
* Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug test
