Paralegal

Think Consulting is actively seeking a Paralegal to join a leading federal agency in Washington D.C. In this role, you'll work closely with attorneys and law enforcement to prepare cases for litigation, manage discovery processes, and provide critical courtroom support.

Job Overview:

• Perform intake and track hundreds to thousands of claims in any given matter.
• Enters claims filing information into an Excel tracking system
• Proofread settlement memos for content and details in formatting.
• Responds to attorney requests for filing information and retrieval
• Conducts simple to moderately complex database searches
• Performs simple legal research
• Assist attorneys in preparation for trials

Basic Qualifications:

• Requires paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study. One (1) year of legal training or legal experience or at least two (2) years of college education may be substituted for the paralegal certificate.
• Excellent proofreading skills.
• Experience with primary litigation with a solid general litigation experience, including support preparing for trial.
• Experience using Excel for creating tracking spreadsheets and developing processes for claims intake and review.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Claims processing experience is a plus

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
