What to Expect
Tesla isseekinga highly motivated and passionate Technical Program Manager to join the Failure Analysis Team. The Failure Analysis Team's mission is todetermineroot cause and contributing factors to improve Tesla's products, in collaboration with a large cross-section of other engineering teams. The role requiresorganizationandadetail-orientated mindsetalong witha passion for enabling high-impact technologies. Our designs, manufacturing processes, and program schedules push the limits of what is physically possible. This drives significant demandand visibilityfor Failure Analysis. You will coordinate collaboration between Failure Analysis, Design, Manufacturing, Reliability, Quality, Test, and SupplierIndustrializationto ensure our team's goals are aligned with company and program priorities. You will ensure problem statements are accurately defined,failure investigations are completed efficiently, and corrective actions are taken in response. You will work to understand the opportunities, challenges, and dependencies of each project, translate scattered information into a concise and complete message, and communicate with every team member. You will remove roadblocks before theyimpact programs.

What You'll Do
  • Help manage the cross-functional team to ensure successful completion of failure investigations from incoming projecttriage&prioritizationthrough execution of corrective actions
  • Gain visibility on company&program priorities while ensuring alignment within the team
  • Motivate project teams to complete critical tasks&provide gating information
  • Drive JIRA automation improvements
  • Develop&maintaineffective communication channels to all stakeholders, including JIRA dashboards
  • Track lab equipmentreadiness,report on downtime&blockers
  • Drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams,applying recommendations from Failure Analysisleads

What You'll Bring
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management or technical program management
  • Proven experience coordinating between technical&non-technical team members
  • Expertisein project management toolsincludingMS Project, JIRA, & Confluence, with emphasis on JIRAautomation
  • Experience leading a team in a complexmanufacturingor labenvironment
  • Failure Analysis&Reliability experienceispreferred
  • Tableau experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience

    Expected Compensation
    $88,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
