Catering Set-Up Worker

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Catering Set-Up Worker for their Cafeteria department responsible for performing a variety of hospitality and environmental service duties that help to ensure the hospital's food service requirements are met on a timely basis and according to standards of safety, quality and performance. Major accountabilities include:

  • Sets up and delivers food service to catering events in a timely and accurate manner. Reviews catering orders daily and follows departmental standards.
  • Follows through with customer service throughout each catered event and is responsible for clean-up afterwards.
  • Maintains catering supply area and carts in a safe and sanitary manner. Cleans workstation prior to the end of shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Minimum: Current California Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate.
  • Preferred: Current Registered Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR).

Technical Requirements:

  • Minimum: Knowledge of basic commercial food handling methods and operation of food service equipment. Knowledge of commercial kitchen safety, sanitation and hygiene practices.
