What to Expect

The Maintenance Supervisor will manage a group of Equipment Maintenance Technicians that are responsible for equipment availability, and performance. Manage workload with a positive attitude as a hands-on team player in a collaborative work environment.

This person must be able to build upon previous successes and take our Maintenance teams to the next level. They must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent.


What You'll Do
  • Provide effective supervision, training and coaching to assigned shift employees to achieve the required equipment up time, equipment repairs, and production goals
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality
  • Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations
  • Work with employees to resolve technical and machine problems
  • Schedule preventive maintenance to effectively meet production needs
  • Maintain ongoing preventive maintenance program to ensure optimum equipment performance and maintain department records and inventories
  • Oversee equipment upgrades and refurbishment projects, effectively coordinating with vendor support

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of industrial supervisory or similar leadership experience
  • Metal stamping experience highly preferred, high volume manufacturing
  • Strong preventive maintenance development experience, familiarity with reliability centered maintenance principles
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality and quantity
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals
  • Good computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CMMS preferred
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
