What You Will Be Doing:

The Manager, Clients & Markets Campaigns is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of high-impact marketing and business development campaigns that align with the Firm's and/or a given legal department/s strategic goals. This role involves collaborating across the Clients & Markets department, with Firm leadership, and with cross-functional teams to define objectives, target audiences, allocate budgets, and baseline market perceptions; securing approvals; and managing end-to-end campaign implementation across multiple channels. The manager will oversee content creation, thought leadership integration, and client-focused outreach while ensuring strict budget control and measurable ROI. Success requires driving visibility, market recognition, and innovation through data-driven insights, continuous optimization, and the creation of best-practice playbooks, while maintaining adherence to Firm standards and evolving strategies based on industry trends and analytics. This position reports to the Director, Clients & Markets Strategy.

Assists with proactively supporting client service by actively participating in the firm's Service Excellence initiative. Ensures that staff members are providing quality service to internal members/departments of the firm as well as external clients and vendors by displaying professionalism via electronic and print correspondence, over the telephone and in-person and by encouraging an atmosphere that rewards a "can do" attitude.



About This Role:


  • Envision: Collaborate closely with Firm leadership, as well as leaders in Clients & Markets Business Development, CORE and Competitive Intelligence teams, and other business professionals to envision and drive campaign plans that align with specific business goals the Firm or a given legal department/s has established; including but not limited to AI, Financial Services, Life Sciences and Technology.

    • Define objectives, identify target audiences and allocate budgets for each campaign.
    • Research and document campaign-specific, baseline market perceptions of both the Firm and leading firms in each of our current campaign areas.
    • Support a variety of marketing, business development and communication campaigns focused on elevating the firm's brand relating to key client and industry initiatives.


  • Secure Approval: Brief Firm leadership and obtain their approval as to the contours, rationale, primary messaging, vehicles and timing associated with each campaign prior to launch.
  • Construct: Develop each campaign based on any course-corrections required by Firm leadership, and in partnership with contributing lawyers and Content Marketing peers. Consider, and incorporate where appropriate, recommendations from key stakeholders. Develop and drive sector specific campaigns that showcase the firm's deep understanding of industry trends and priorities.
  • Implement/Launch: Lead and project manage the timely implementation of the Firm's top priority external campaigns across all digital, print, interpersonal and other channels in coordination with Visual Communications, Digital, Communications, Media/PR and other key allies.

    • Oversee the production and refreshing of all needed campaign assets across platforms.
    • Spearhead the effort to both 'initiate new' and 'leverage existing' thought leadership as a central element of each campaign.
    • Liaise with in-house Media/PR professionals on bullet-proof plan for executing content placement.
    • Incorporate client-specific dimensions to campaign outreach, as appropriate.
    • Lead efforts to amplify primary messages via micro-exposures (e.g., driving the inclusion of a preferred phrase or campaign-aligned concept into a multitude of firm bios and/or capabilities, in consultation with willing partners, practice leaders and peers).
    • Maintain strict control over campaign spend, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize impact.


  • Measure: Establish all campaign metrics, including but not limited to market perceptions, audience engagement, budget performance, and ROI).

    • Continually monitor and periodically report to Firm leadership on all campaign metrics.
    • Work with Competitive Intelligence Team to use data and analytics tools to monitor key client and industry trends.


  • Achieve: Substantially raise visibility and achieve tangible market recognition concerning the firm's key messaging objectives and campaigns
  • Share and Empower: Provide life-cycle-driven (i.e., mid- and post-campaign) and other regular briefings to internal allies and interested parties.

    • Create client-focused and industry-specific playbooks and best practice guides that provide actionable strategies, tailored insights and proven approaches to strengthening relationships and driving success with key constituents.
    • Partner with Pursuits and Pricing team members to shape strategic RFP responses and win themes for key account and industry-specific requests.


  • Evolve: Ensure adherence to Firm standards and stay updated on the latest trends and technologies. Drive innovation and evolution related to campaign-relevant concepts and tools. Use insight from metrics tracking to optimize ensuing campaigns and inform future strategies

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including professional presentation abilities, with impeccable skills with respect to text drafting, editing, grammar and proofreading.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Foundation and InterAction is preferred
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations for attention to detail and quality.

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree required.



Experience:



  • Minimum of eight+ years of experience in legal, technology, management, or market analysis environment preferred.
