Overview

The Coborn's Inc. payroll team is hiring for our next Payroll Specialist! To be successful in this role, you will need to bring your "Say Yes to the Guest" attitude, as you will support over 10,000 of our internal guests, our employees! As a Payroll Specialist, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Payroll Department and perform all activities necessary to prepare and process the bi-weekly multi-company multi-state payroll. What Will I Do in This Position?

  • Assist with ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations is followed, entering earnings and deductions are recorded, assisting with maintenance of employee data in the payroll system, and providing remarkable support to employees.
  • Run various weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and audits that support payroll and accounting processes and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and company leaders for payroll-related questions and inquiries, including but is not limited to maintaining the payroll department email box and telephonic hotline.
  • Assist in all day-to-day activities that support the payroll processes. This will include ensuring accurate time records are submitted properly and approved in a timely in the system for payroll processing and following up with company leaders as necessary for corrections.
  • Maintain the company travel and expense processes. Responsibilities include maintaining the policy, employee communication, ensuring proper documentation is submitted, and ensuring timely reimbursement of expenses through the payroll process.
  • Assist with additional payroll processing, which includes off-cycle check processing, bank inquiries and follow-up, garnishment processing, additional spreadsheet uploads, and timecard corrections.
  • Assist with maintaining employee information in the system relating to payroll taxes and employee deductions. Will also partner with the HR team and assist with the maintenance of various employee pay record entries.
  • Will serve as a backup for payroll processing in the absence of the Payroll Manager. Will also participate in special projects and assist with the creation and maintenance of all payroll process checklists and procedure documentation.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of 1 to 3 years of multi-state payroll experience preferred.
  • Accounts payable experience is a plus but not required.

Pay Range

USD $22.75 - USD $33.50 /Hr.
