Title: Analyst - Partnership Management and Engagement

Location: Remote/Virtual - Must work and live in the state of Michigan



Purpose: This position helps administer programs and complete assignments in the Policy and Planning Bureau of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. This position assists with responsibilities related to the Rural Health Transformation Program. This position supports the Rural Health Transformation Advisory Council and coordinates external partner engagement. This role facilitates monthly coalition meetings, partner alignment, and strategic engagement with rural partners.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the work of the Rural Health Transformation Program.
  • Manage external engagement efforts with rural partners for the Rural Health Transformation Program.
  • Support the Rural Health Transformation Advisory Council, including meeting coordination, agenda development, material preparation and follow-up.
  • Facilitate monthly coalition meetings and ongoing communication with advisory council members and partners.
  • Support partner alignment around shared goals, best practices and collaborative implementation strategies.
  • Coordinate external partner engagement activities, including outreach to rural health systems and rural partners.
  • Develop engagement materials, summaries and communications for internal and external partners.
  • Track partner feedback and share insights to inform program planning and decision-making.
  • Strengthen relationships with rural partners to support sustainability and long-term transformation efforts.
  • Draft correspondence and develop presentations.
  • Prepare various formal reports and/or briefings.
  • Present information to internal and external groups.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Always represent the best interests of MPHI and MDHHS.



Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience of outreach and engagement experience. Experience developing and implementing comprehensive engagement strategies is preferred.

  • Ability to analyze, synthesize and evaluate a variety of data for use in program development and analysis.
  • Ability to organize, evaluate and present information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to learn and utilize computer processes.
  • Ability to work well with others on a team, work independently, and multi-task within tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint; Adobe Acrobat.



Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Position requires the use of a laptop. This position is occasionally required to transport a laptop, audiovisual equipment and brochures. This position may require some very limited travel.



RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No assigned responsibility.

IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS: This position has a direct impact on the quality of services provided by MPHI to MDHHS. This position helps administer programs and complete assignments in the Policy and Planning Bureau. The position assists with the Rural Health Transformation Program
