Job Title: Manager - Quality Control/Raw Materials Laboratory

Location: RTP- Morrisville, North Carolina
Organization: Leading Analytical Testing CRO

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC)/Raw Materials Laboratory Manager to lead and establish a new QC/Raw Materials laboratory within our growing Contract Research Organization (CRO). This is a unique, on-site opportunity to build a lab from the ground up, implement operational processes, and drive excellence in analytical testing services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lab Start-Up & Leadership:
    • Oversee the design, setup, and operational launch of a QC or Raw Materials laboratory.
    • Aid in the optimization of robust quality systems and SOPs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards."
  • Project & Process Management:
    • Manage large-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
    • Establish efficient workflows and operational processes to optimize lab performance.
  • Customer Service & Continuous Improvement:
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and client experience
  • Obtain results through demonstrated Leadership:
    • Holds self and others accountable for delivering on commitments
    • Challenges the status quo and seeks ways to achieve better results

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of QC laboratory experience, with proven expertise in raw materials testing and analytical methods.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage teams and large projects in a regulated environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, motivational and problem-solving, and customer service orientation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
