Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to manage payroll processes efficiently. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, maintain payroll records, and assist with payroll-related questions.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains Time Pro (time clock systems / printers) - enters and updates employee daily schedules after review with management. Editing employee punch record details.
  • Provide Management daily with hours and earnings by department
  • Load hours and pay rates into ADP eTime and Attendance system.
  • Upon receipt of checks- reconcile checks prepared against register
  • Maintain vacation accrual schedule weekly - after each payroll
  • Establish and maintains timetable to setup and process deductions, vacations, sick time, personal, uniform fees, garnishments, etc.
  • Verify PAF is complete with all required signatures & P/R info
  • Return approved PAF to HR
  • Verify information listed on Benefit PAF form
  • Send to Corporate Payroll for termination of payroll deduction
  • Calculate final PR for payment with next scheduled PR
  • Xpress Check - Calculate final PR & provide info to HR
  • Xpress Check - Prepare Check Request (CA, HI & CO only)
  • Xpress Check - Calculate Vacation payout for payment with next scheduled PR
  • Xpress Check - Prepare Check Request for Vacation payout
  • Enter Work Schedule into ADP
  • Track Enrollment & Eligibility: Run Service List from ADP
  • Sick Leave Tracking - Used & Available
  • Vacation Tracking - Used & Available
  • Calculation of final PTO payout
  • Payroll Submission


Skills and Qualifications

  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft programs: OUTLOOK, EXCEL, WORD, and ability to use other Windows based programs.
  • Previous payroll/HRIS experience with (ADP) required
  • Reliable, able to work in fast paced environment
  • Fluent in English -READ -WRITE -SPEAK
  • This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills as well as analytical, problem solving, administrative and organizational skills.
  • Multilingual in Spanish or Chinese a plus
  • Able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks


Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional food manufacturing environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods as well as lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and is exposed to extreme cold from refrigeration.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position .The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm but may vary depending on the needs of the business.
