This position is funded for 1 year(s); continuation past 1 year(s) will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.POSITION SPECIFICS The Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Telehealth (SAFE-T) System, housed within Penn State's Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing,is seeking a full-time leadership role as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Clinical Coordinator. About SAFE-T System SAFE-T System is a successful telehealth sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) or "teleSANE" program aimed at increasing access to high-quality sexual assault forensic care through innovative telehealth technology. Our program delivers live expert SANE consultation to partnered hospitals. We're breaking down barriers to ensure survivors receive expert, compassionate care wherever they are. The Opportunity This position will oversee a team of highly experienced, board-certified pediatric SANEs (SANE-P) in the delivery of live quality assurance, mentorship, and peer review during forensic examinations of children via telehealth. Additionally, this position will work closely with the SAFE-T Director, Assistant Director, and other Clinical Coordinators to lead the development and launching of pediatric telehealth support at selected pilot hospital sites. As a Clinical Coordinator with SAFE-T, you will be responsible for leading and managing SAFE-T's telehealth support model and participating in the multi-faceted SAFE-T Clinical telehealth program. The Clinical Coordinators will also be hired into the role of SAFE-T teleSANE and will provide live teleSANE support coverage during daytime work hours, Monday-Friday, as part of regular duties. As a teleSANE, Clinical Coordinators will be expected to partake in some evening and/or weekend call rotation each month. On-call hours worked will fluctuate based on number of teleSANEs on staff and number of new teleSANEs waiting to be signed off on call observation. The Clinical Coordinator will co-share the role of On-call Clinical Supervisor with other coordinators. This will require responding to occasional pages from teleSANE team members after hours and on weekends to address emergent issues such as a shift call-off. Travel is required, typically 6 to 8 times annually, with trips lasting 3 to 5 days on average. What We're Looking For This is a nursing position. A Master's degree or higher in Nursing is preferred. Additional preference will be given to candidates with 5+ years of experience conducting pediatric sexual assault forensic examinations and who hold International Association of Forensic Nursing SANE-P certification. Leadership experience in healthcare settings and experience collaborating with healthcare administrators, emergency departments, and interdisciplinary teams will also be considered a plus. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree 8+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience Required Certifications: Registered Nurse - Pennsylvania State Board of NursingCandidates must possess an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license prior to hire. Upon hire, candidates will be required to obtain active nursing licensure in all states where SAFE-T is partnered (currently Idaho and Pennsylvania). Compact nursing licensure may substitute for individual state licensure wherever states allow.
