As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Entry Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout retail locations. You will remain visible to provide exceptional customer service and communication while maintaining a professional presence. This position is both armed and requires driving, allowing you to play a key role in supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft and/or disturbances.
• Communicate with store management and Allied Universal team members regarding security-related issues and observations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
• Assist in emergency response activities, including evacuation procedures and/or medical emergencies, as directed by site protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and customers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
