What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points to the facility, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and directions.
  • Perform regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any suspicious behavior or incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and observations to Allied Universal and site management as required.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as directed by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure and orderly environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
