Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a full-time Resident Project Representative for a multi-year project in the greater metro Toledo area. The primary duties of this position include construction observation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, water distribution and wastewater collection utilities, and associated documentation. Applicant must be willing to travel and work in an outdoor environment.
Primary Functions
- Prepare daily reports detailing the status of the work, including confirmation of work completed, available resources, and jobsite conditions.
- Document construction activities and verify adherence to design requirements and specifications.
- Observe construction activities to ensure work is being constructed in accordance with the Contract Documents and approved shop drawings.
- Assist Project Manager and engineers with constructability issues and Requests for Information.
- Attend owner and construction progress meetings.
- Attend manufacturer start-ups and ensure all contract and funding agency requirements are met on behalf of the owner.
Desired Education
Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology/Construction or Equivalent Experience
Desired Skills/Experience
- AS degree in civil engineering technology or construction preferred.

- 5+ years of previous experience performing construction observation for water/wastewater treatment facilities and/or water and wastewater utilities.
- Experience/familiarity with the following work types:
- Vertical construction (buildings).
- Cast-in-place concrete.
- Process equipment, piping, and valves.
- Mechanical/HVAC systems.
- Electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Underground pipe and conduit construction.
- Painting/coating systems.
- Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record and be available for occasional travel.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Minimum Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and sit as needed on project sites. Ability to climb a ladder. Ability to drive a motor vehicle to reach work sites. Ability to maneuver project sites with uneven terrain. Ability to read printed materials and view a computer screen; capable of hearing and speech to communicate.
