Seneca Foods in Glencoe, MN is currently seeking an Agriculture Production Supervisor to join our team. Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off and much more! Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great!

As an Agriculture Production Supervisor, the selected candidate will lead and help coordinate the daily activities of the Ag Field function to achieve company goals including (but not limited to) field department training, contracting, planting, organizing and communicating seed ordering, planting and harvesting schedules, growing areas and heat unit collection, field sampling and pre-grading process.

Responsibilities:
* Grower contracting and Grower relations
* Seed ordering aligning with final production needs & seed distribution activities
* Assist Growers with planting activities
* Communication with Crop Insurance
* Heat unit collection & compilation, planting progress & alignment to planting schedule
* Pre-grade/Raw Product Grading/Scale/Flow Control/Interns hiring, daily supervision of seasonal labor, and Safety/JSA duties
* Vehicle organization, registrations & corporate vehicle tracking spreadsheets
* Assist in training new Field Reps & seasonal staff including Interns
* Organization of weekly progress reporting through season, data compiling
* Final pre-harvest chemical compliance reviews
* Organizes Daily Pest Control Applications throughout the season
* Encourage and promote teamwork, safety, continuous improvement, employee relations
* Instruction manual procedure reviews
* Other job duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications:
* Post secondary Ag or Business degree preferred (but not required)
* Excellent computer skills
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Willing and able to work and function in a team environment
* Good communication skills
* Ability to lead and train personnel
* Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
* Agricultural background is helpful but not required

Starting wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience from $70k - $85k.
