Vascular images are digitally acquired, and measurements obtained. Ensures patient safety through procedure protocols and policies. Clinical and technical expert in the field of vascular sonography. Demonstrates increasing level of excellence through clinical practice, teaching/mentoring abilities, and leadership qualities. Serve as a resource and mentor for vascular technologist. May be assigned as a technical lead, quality coordinator, technical lab director. Graduate of a two (2) year Allied Health Training Program, Ultrasound Technology preferred Bachelors program in health science (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing) or graduate of an accredited program in general ultrasound (vascular) preferred 5-10 years of experience in inpatient/outpatient vascular ultrasound and complete and exhibit excellent competencies as a level III. New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program (NMRTT) Current BLS required. Required: ARDMS (RVT) /CCI (RVS) credential.
