About the Role
The General Dynamics Land Systems Summer 2025 Internship Program provides an opportunity for students looking to start or continue the transition from academia into industry. Our three-month internship assignments provide compensation based on area of study and class standing, and have the students embedded in key functional areas of our business, getting real-world experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals. As part of your summer experience, you will join our team and use your education, experience, and creativity to make an impact.

The role of Harness Design Engineer will be working in our Harness Group and be responsible for helping to designing and constructing Electrical Harness Designs that will be used in our next generation of products.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role
  • Assist in designing electrical wiring harnesses.
  • Assist in determining harness layout through vehicle and branch points for multi-branch harnesses.
  • Work directly in Capital Harness System software.
  • Work with physical architects to define harness routing channels, space claims.

Qualifications Sought
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree majoring inan engineering discipline, Electrical or Computer Engineering is desired, from an accredited 4-year university or college.
  • Attained at least a sophomorestatus based on university/college's class standing requirements at the start of the internship.
  • Preferred - GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be a U.S. Person (i.e. a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.)
  • Must successfully pass standard pre-employment screens and must provide an official college or university transcript from their school before their first day of employment.
  • Must be able to complete a minimum of a full time, 3 month assignment

Additional Information / Desired Experience
