A Day In The Life As the Social Media Specialist for Savannah Friedkin Jewelry, you will build and scale our social presence with strong creative taste, consistent execution, and performance-minded iteration. This role owns SFJ's day-to-day social strategy and publishing, creates and/or produces platform-native content, manages community engagement, and reports on performance insights to improve results over time. You will also coordinate closely with marketing to align social messaging with our CRM and lifecycle marketing platform (email and/or SMS), ensuring consistent campaigns and storytelling across channels.
As a Social Media Specialist- SFJ you will:
- Own SFJ's social strategy across priority platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X-based on business needs).
- Build and maintain a content calendar tied to SFJ brand priorities, campaigns, launches, and key moments.
- Translate brand pillars and messaging into recurring content series and content pillars that are consistent and scalable.
- Create, edit, and publish social-first content, including static posts, carousels, stories, and short-form video.
- Write on-brand captions, hooks, and calls-to-action that reflect SFJ's voice and point of view.
- Work with internal partners and/or creators to source, brief, review, and schedule content as needed.
- Ensure brand consistency across platforms, including voice, visuals, and tone.
- Manage community engagement by responding to comments and direct messages, escalating issues when appropriate, and helping build trust and loyalty.
- Monitor trends and cultural moments and recommend opportunities that fit SFJ, without chasing irrelevant trends.
- Support partnerships and creator efforts when applicable, including briefs, coordination, publishing schedules, and usage considerations.
- Track and report on key performance indicators such as reach, engagement, follower growth, click-through rates, and traffic or conversions where applicable.
- Run lightweight tests across formats, hooks, posting cadence, and content series, turning results into clear recommendations.
- Provide regular insights on what's working, what's not, and what SFJ should do next.
- Coordinate social messaging with CRM and lifecycle marketing initiatives (email and/or SMS) to ensure cohesive campaigns and creative alignment.
- Assist with campaign coordination and basic reporting or insight-sharing as needed, in partnership with marketing.
What We Need From You
- 1-3 years of experience managing social media for a brand, business, or agency or equivalent demonstrated work. Required
- Strong understanding of social media best practices, especially short-form video and platform-native storytelling. (High proficiency)
- Strong writing skills with the ability to maintain a consistent and on-brand voice. (High proficiency)
- Highly organized and reliable, with the ability to manage calendars, approvals, and deadlines in a remote environment. (High proficiency)
- Comfortable using analytics to evaluate performance and iterate on strategy. (High proficiency)
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. (High proficiency)
- Experience coordinating with CRM or lifecycle marketing platforms (email and/or SMS). (Medium proficiency)
- Advanced content creation skills, including photo editing, video editing, animation, or motion graphics. (Medium proficiency)
- Experience working with creators, influencers, or partnership programs. (Medium proficiency)
- Ecommerce or performance marketing exposure. (Medium proficiency)
Physical Requirements The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
