TITLE: Industrial Machinery Technician


POSITION OBJECTIVE: A Maintenance Technician oversees performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing machinery, inspecting machinery and building to confirm safety standards and scheduling repairs.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Legal eligibility to work in the US
  • Two years of equivalent job experience in the extrusion discipline preferred
  • Ability to operate a film extruder and related equipment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English
  • Basic math skills including the capability to read a ruler and measure in US standards
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary such as overtime.


  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Complies with, monitors, and enforces all written and verbal safety regulations and programs of the plant and department.
  • Understand and adhere to plant policies and procedures.
  • Repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery, ensuring accurate documentation is kept.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Inspect parts for defects and wears and reassemble equipment after inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust machinery and equipment.
  • Record and manage parts and materials, ordering new ones as needed.
  • Communicate daily with the Maintenance Supervisor for assignments.


WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • The warehouse is not climate control. Must be able to work in an environment that is extremely hot, humid in the summer months, and cold in the winter months.
