Job Summary

We seek a team member who can thrive autonomously in a fast-paced and changing environment. In this role you deliver classroom and field instruction training modules of gas construction and operations processes. Additional duties include the administration and execution of operator qualification(OQ) evaluations of field personnel and contractors performing covered task functions on our pipeline facilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct training on procedures relating to field service and distribution construction and operations as well as administration of Operator Qualification training and evaluation of Gas Operations personnel
  • Assist in the development of lesson plans, PowerPoint presentation files, computer based training, and practical demonstrations used for training
  • Develop knowledge in areas of gas operations procedures, applications, and processes
  • Partner with other departments on creating and updating standards and procedures
  • Manage classroom environment including technology and/or behavioral issues
  • Work with Work Management & Development Consultant on reviewing training effectiveness to increase student performance success
  • Represent the Technical Training Department on various committees
Minimum Qualifications
  • Instructor requires 3+ years Gas utility operations, company policies, procedures and standards
  • Senior Instructor requires 5+ years Gas utility operations, company policies, procedures and standards
  • Principal Instructor requires 7+ years Gas utility operations, company policies, procedures and standards
  • Working experience with gas equipment in construction and O&M functions
  • Working successfully with other groups, teams and individuals within a large company
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Customer relations (internal and external)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • 1+ year Understanding of basic adult learning concepts and practices
  • High School Diploma, HSED, or GED is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in teaching and/or instructing adults.

Pay Range Minimum: $76,932.70

Pay Range Maximum: $165,332.96

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
