This position is National Remote. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. The Financial Consultant will support Enterprise Clinical Services (ECS) and OptumHealth Risk Operations. This role is responsible for various tasks and will collaborate across the ECS Finance team to ensure accurate financials are presented to various stakeholders.

This position is full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 6 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the role will be 8:00am - 5:00pm CST. Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support consolidations and reporting for national shared services team.
  • Analyze and report on financials and partner with operations leaders to manage budgets and create quarterly forecasts
  • Work closely with operators to communicate financial results including variance analyses and establish a positive working relationship and partnership
  • Meet with operations leaders to identify and report on cost management efforts within the business
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis in support of various needs across the team
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and identify areas of improvement
  • Collaborate effectively with different teams across the enterprise, through cross functional project work

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 3+ years of relevant financial analysis experience
  • Progressive financial work experience
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment while positively influencing other functional areas
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel (Pivot tables, formula functions, ability to troubleshoot), MS Office product suite, and other technology tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare experience
  • Hyperion Essbase, PeopleSoft, MPWR, Power Query experience
  • Financial modeling experience

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $58,800 - $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
