Rutgers University-Camden seeks a Senior Student Programs Coordinator for the
EOF Program. The Educational Opportunity Fund (
EOF) Program is a state-supported access and retention success program that provides New Jersey residents from underrepresented backgrounds holistic supports including comprehensive academic, personal, and financial support services and financial assistance.
Under the supervision of the
EOF Manager, the Senior Student Programs Coordinator serves as administrative support to the supervisor and a primary point of contact for a caseload of assigned students with varying academic and personal needs. The Senior Student Programs Coordinator serves as the primary contact in supporting students submitting appropriate documentation required for the financial verification process for the
EOF Program. This includes conducting targeted outreach, providing opportunities for students to meet 1:1 and in groups, and creating resources and materials to help students understand and complete the process. Additionally, the Senior Student Programs Coordinator will support recruitment initiatives for first year and transfer students for
EOF, including conducting school and community site visits, creating marketing items and participating in on-campus recruitment events. The Senior Student Programs Coordinator will utilize various methods, including appreciative advising methodology, positive psychology, and other coaching models, to guide the implementation of successful strategies and initiatives to assist in the transition and support for a caseload of
EOF students. The Senior Student Programs Coordinator also takes a lead in supporting the development and implementation of
EOF orientations and summer institute. Effective collaboration amongst a network of campus units (Wellness Center, Center for Learning and Student Success, advising offices, Career Center, Financial Aid, Dean of Students, etc.) will be integral to support the success of students the program.
This is a grant funded position contingent upon the availability of funds to support it. |

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Bachelor's Degree (counseling, psychology, social work, or related area strongly preferred) required and a minimum of 3-5 years full-time experience providing coaching, advising, and student support services, as well as coordinating and implementing structured programming for diverse groups of college students. |

In addition, demonstrated experience in developing student learning outcomes, data analysis, and reporting.

| Preferred Qualifications |
Master's Degree; Experience with teaching, grant writing, curriculum design in higher education, and
LSW or related certification/licensing preferred. Experience working with underrepresented student populations is strongly preferred. Experience using emerging technologies and social media to communicate to undergraduates preferred. Experience in developing/coordinating student leadership programs including summer orientations and bridge programs preferred. Experience facilitating programs, workshops, support groups and other services that promote enrollment, retention, engagement preferred. Experience in the recruitment of undergraduate students including conducting outreach to community partners and schools as well as presenting to potential applicants from diverse backgrounds is strongly preferred.

In order to provide holistic student success support to first-generation, low-income and otherwise underrepresented undergraduate students, the Senior Student Programs Coordinator must demonstrate experience in and awareness of best practices in student success, advising, academic support, program design and evaluation, and retention. Experience with curriculum development, data analysis and reporting is integral in being able to help support the development and presentation of assessment efforts for the
EOF Office. Experience coordinating and executing targeted communication efforts to students is required. General knowledge of financial aid processes in higher education (i.e. completing a
FAFSA, grant and loan requirements,
SAP) is also necessary to help support the financial verification process of
EOF students. |
