CAD/BIM Designer

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a CAD/BIM designer.

Responsibilities include:

• Using computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents
• Assisting with the preparation of, or modification of: plans, BIM models, and designs for projects within the Water Resource Business Unit
• Sets up project plan sets and leads drafting coordination
• Maintains technical competence on software features, company standards, and best practices
• Identifies, reads, follows, and enforces relevant standards on projects
• Assists with design computations and quantity estimates
• Attends project meetings
• Reviewing for quality assurance and quality control
• Mentoring less experienced staff

Some travel may be required.

Successful candidates must have:

• An associate degree (or higher) in drafting, engineering design technology, engineering/architectural graphics, or related field AND four (4) years of relevant experience
• If no degree, must have at least six (6) years of relevant experience

The ideal candidate will have all of the following:

• 10+ years of relevant experience

• Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D and preparing plans with 3D elements
• Experience drafting for multi-disciplinary engineering teams (for example: civil, structural, and mechanical)
• Experience with water infrastructure projects

Salary Range: $33.00 - $41.00 per hour - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set, or location.
