The primary responsibility of an Environmental Chemist is to ensure that analytical data is legally defensible and compliant with applicable state and federal guidelines. This includes evaluating data in the context of specific regulatory requirements and within the framework of the analytical methods used. An Environmental Chemist may manage more than one project and/or client at a time. All Environmental Chemists may also be expected to collectively serve as part of the business development arm of ddms and are responsible for growing the footprint of their projects (when it benefits the client), obtaining new projects from existing clients and identifying and retaining new clients through networking, conferences, and other professional opportunities. An Environmental Chemist may be responsible for the satisfaction of each of their clients and for delivering ddms' work products to specifications, on time, and within budget. Environmental Chemists may oversee project teams, which may include one or more ddms data analysts, technicians, and/or other Environmental Chemists. Location: This position can be either hybrid in our St. Paul, MN office or remote in any of the following states: Alabama, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin. Compensation: The annual salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
