  • Serve as a primary technical resource for PLC, controls and electrical troubleshooting across the facility.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair PLC-controlled equipment including I/O faults, sensor logic, interlocks, communication faults, and program-related issues.
  • Perform online PLC monitoring, fault tracing, and basic program modifications as required to restore operation and improve reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain control panels, including power distribution, relays, contactors, overloads, safety circuits, VFD's, soft starters, and networked devices.
  • Diagnose issues involving AC/DC drives, motor controls, encoders, photo-eyes, proximity sensors, pressure switches, and safety devices.
  • Read, interpret, and create electrical schematics, ladder logic, and control diagrams,
  • Support and improve electrical standards, panel labeling, documentation and backups for control systems.
  • Assist in root cause analysis of electrical and controls-related failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including conveyors, bearings, shafts, blades, gearbox and drive systems.
  • Diagnose and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems using sound PM and troubleshooting practices.
  • Install, maintain and repair machinery, motors, drives, conveyors, blades, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems


Responsibilities



  • Perform and improve inspections, TPM events, and machinery documentation.
  • Identify recurring electrical or control failures and lead improvement efforts to eliminate repeat issues.
  • Support development of standard troubleshooting procedures and training materials related to electrical and PLC systems.
  • Assist in training and mentoring technicians and operators on electrical safety, controls awareness and basic diagnostics.
  • Meet or exceed ask safety requirements including LOTO, PPE, electrical safety, arc-flash awareness, forklift and aerial lift training.
  • Follow and support 5S standards, ensuring clean and organized work areas.
  • Fabricate and install special equipment or modifications as needed.
  • Perform maintenance, administrative, production support, or other duties as assigned.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Minimum of A.A.S. degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance or related field or equivalent military/technical training.
  • 5+years of industrial maintenance experience with demonstrated emphasis on PLC and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Technical Skills (Strongly Preferred/Required
  • Allen-Bradley, Siemens and or DirectSoft PLC platforms.
  • Online troubleshooting, I/O diagnostics, fault recovery.
  • Basic ladder logic interpretation and modification.
  • Electrical & Controls
  • AC/DC power and control circuits (single & three phase).
  • VFD's, motor starters, safety circuits, relays, sensors.
  • Electrical panel troubleshooting and documentation.
  • Mechanical Systems
  • Conveyors, blades, bearings, motors, gearboxes.
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Certifications
  • LOTO Certification (required)
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Electrical or controls-related certifications preferred.
