Overview of this Position:

The Help Desk Technician will handle triage and first attempt resolution of submitted Help Desk tickets, escalating tickets to other members of the IT Department as needed.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Associates or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have a general understanding of how a computer functions and the inter-relationships between the major computer hardware components and the overlaying software such as the Operating System.

Preferred Requirements:

  • CompTIA A+/Sec+, Cisco/Meraki, Microsoft Certifications not required, but are a plus.
  • Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Open-minded individual who fosters an environment in which sharing of ideas is encouraged, asks questions, and is willing to learn.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop a strong professional relationship with vendors, co-workers, and clients.
  • Exhibit and maintain a cordial and professional demeaner with both internal and external associates that positively reflect company policies and practices.
  • Provide Helpdesk Ticket triage and first attempt resolution of IT related support requests using various technology tools and methodologies.
  • Accurately fulfill new employee account setup requests.
  • Contribute and participate with IT Department personnel tasks and projects when needed.
  • Display a proactive methodology with regards to prioritizing and multi-tasking daily tasks and long-term projects.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot a Microsoft Windows environment along with break/fix requests of laptops, desktops, printers, and other devices commonly found in a Microsoft Windows network.
