Summary of Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Freight & Logistics (Supply Management) is responsible for the development and performance of Panda's managed freight and logistics programs and partnerships related to the Supply Chain Management team.This position manages relationships between suppliers, distributors, logistics/freight partners and internal stakeholders to ensure their compliance with contractual agreements related to safety, service, cost, quality, and growth within the Managed Freight and Logistics scope of responsibility. The Senior Manager provides leadership and development to the team to meet the department's people planning and development goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works with SCM Senior leadership to develop the design and execution of the multi-year Managed Freight and Logistics strategy to align with the overall SCM strategies to meet company objectives.
  • Develops and manages strong relationships with suppliers, distributors and logistics partners.Acts as a liaison between Sourcing, and SCM stakeholders' and partners. Communicates PRG's philosophy and growth plans aligning partners and stakeholders to support Panda growth.
  • Responsible for establishing performance and compliance standards with suppliers, distributors and logistics partners in support of cross-functional stakeholders. Defines KPI and reporting standards of performance.
  • Identifies opportunities to support future business planning within the supply chain to improve business partner performance and optimize cost. Directs Managed Freight and Logistic team to execute analysis and strategy.
  • Leads collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve logistics performance and optimize costs through process improvements and partner performance enhancement.
  • Provides and maintains market intelligence and analysis supporting PRG Stakeholders
  • Establishes standards and cadence of of business reviews with logistics/freight partners, ensuring alignment to the overall SCM strategy.
  • Recruits, selects, and develops an effective team of Logistics managers and analysts to identify and execute cost optimization and resolve freight and transportation related issues. Provides leadership, coaching, and development to the team to meet the department's people planning and development goals.

Your background & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management with increasing management responsibility, preferably in a multi-unit food service distribution organization, with increasing management responsibility
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
  • If hired, completion of annual store training.

Pay Range: M3: $127,000 - $178,000 / Annual

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
