Food Service Worker

Part-Time, PRN, First Shift
BHCOR-Food Service. I Corbin, KY

The Food Service Worker supports daily food service operations by assisting with meal preparation, cafeteria service, and kitchen sanitation. This role helps ensure high-quality food presentation, excellent customer service, and compliance with food safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, including washing, cutting, measuring, and preparing ingredients.

  • Support patient tray line and cafeteria service while maintaining food quality and portion standards.

  • Prepare and restock beverages, condiments, desserts, and other cafeteria items.

  • Deliver patient trays and assist with meal distribution as needed.

  • Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions when assigned.

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, food service equipment, utensils, and workstations.

  • Wash dishes, pots, and pans following established sanitation procedures.

  • Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation procedures.

  • Follow food safety, infection control, and sanitation guidelines.

  • Provide friendly customer service and assist with other food service duties as needed.

Requirements

  • No formal education required

  • No prior experience required (food service experience preferred)

  • Food Handler's Card or ServSafe certification preferred

  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen or cafeteria environment
