Senior Systems Administrator

We are looking for a highly motivated, positive and innovative individual who has a strong aptitude in technology and business operations. The teammate would be responsible for problem solving/troubleshootingtechnology related areas, and for highly effective collaboration and communication with a variety of functional areas within DCR and the broader DaVita organization. In addition, the Sr. Systems Administrator is responsible for day-to-day maintenance, support and upgrades for critical and complex operating systems, applications and servers utilized by DCR. Additionally, this role is responsible for defining the operational processes to develop, manage and support DCR IT Infrastructure, participating in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, as well as supporting the department Director with business operations.
Based on business needs, a flexible weekly work schedule is available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configuring, managing and monitoring internal DCR systems and associated hardware including diagnosing and troubleshooting system and application technical issues, analyzing current system performance and scalability to recommend improvements and changes, development and management of databases for various cross-functional efforts and the management and support of all system security and access.

  • Serves as a team lead in support of the department Director for the overall business operations of the DCR IT Department (budget, metrics, strategic initiatives, project management, special projects, operational processes, etc.).

  • Develop and manage IT policies, procedures, technical documentation and Governance Portfolio for all DCR IT systems. Includes reading, writing, reviewing, and editing documentation including job aids, work instructions, SOPs, and validation documentation that involve IT related systems and applications. This would also include developing IT related training and training new system users.

  • Partner with functional stakeholders to identify system/team/business requirements for new system procurement including conducting research, developing support plan for cross-functional business areas, obtaining quotes, preparing proposals, recommending technology purchases and overseeing/participating in the implementation of that technology.

  • Foster and maintain an environment of effective and collaborative working relationships amongst teammates, leadership and external partners (Corporate DKC IT, Vendors).

  • Remain knowledgeable with current and future technologies and provide strategic guidance with the respect to the integration of technologies into the DCR Enterprise.

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems with 6+ years' experience in a technical discipline (including database management & systems security techniques) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Considerable experience in maintaining and supporting essential systems.

  • Knowledge best practices as they apply to network, server, storage, and security infrastructure.

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows

  • Proven experience in IT Operations and ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Strong leadership, organization and project management skills

  • Strong understanding of business processes governance and compliance

  • Experience with Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) and related software is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-buildingskills; ability to interact positively with teammates at all levels of the company

  • Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, follow-through, reasoning, and critical thinking.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information, including to audiences with varying degrees of familiarity

  • Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, follow-through, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Must be willing to stretch "up" and "down" in responsibilities

  • Up to 10% travel depending on business needs.

The Salary Range for the role is $78,000.00 - $119,000.00/year. If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position. New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour, Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour Washington Exempt: $77,968.80/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $17.66/hour, Burien: $21.16/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.29/hour, Renton: $20.90/hour, Seattle: $20.76/hour, Tukwila: $21.10/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $16.66/hour
