Here's what you'd do:

  • The Information Assurance Systems Engineer is first and foremost a Systems Engineer who is also a subject matter expert in the development of systems and equipment that protect classified National Security information.
  • S/he will be responsible for applying security and cryptography expertise throughout the Systems Engineering process to develop and successfully certify National Security systems on time, within the allotted budget, and with low residual risk.
  • Within the Security engineering context, his or her primary responsibility will be performing Concept of Operations development, Requirements decomposition/synthesis, Architecture Development and analysis, and security test planning and execution.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $71.44/hr.

Hours: 980 - Reg - 1st shift.

Length: Temp to perm (5 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 10 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Systems Engineering academic or industry experience in the design, development, and testing of Information Assurance solutions for Defense and Intelligence community customers.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • CISSP.
  • Security+.
  • Networking+.
  • The successful candidate will possess expertise in Security and Cryptography.
  • Traditional engineering background.
  • Understanding of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), including TLS (Transmission Layer Security) and Certificate/Key management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good teamwork skills, able to work in a team environment.
  • EVM (earned Value Management).
  • Someone who has led teams or projects.
  • Demonstrated history of success in developing NSA-approved Type 1 certified products or equipment.
