The Dynamic Imaging of Cognition & Neuromodulation (DICoN) Laboratory led by Dr. Tony Wilson at Boys Town National Research Hospital seeks a postdoctoral fellow to work on NIH funded studies of altered brain dynamics. We currently have NIH supported projects examining the impact of substance use on brain function and cognitive decline in aging. The successful candidate will focus on one of these projects with the opportunity to contribute to both through data analyses and authoring manuscripts. The DICoN Laboratory is one of seven laboratories within the state-of-the-art Institute for Human Neuroscience, which is an 18,000 square foot facility that houses major research-dedicated tools, including two next-generation 306-sensor MEG Neo systems, a Siemens Prisma 3T MRI system, a prototype 208-channel OPM system, 64-lead transcranial direct- and alternating-current stimulation (tDCS/tACS) equipment, a high performance computer cluster, and extensive support staff.
The position is up to three years in duration. Within the two projects noted above, the area of research focus is flexible, but demonstrated expertise in neuroimaging, statistical modeling, and/or cognitive neuroscience is essential. Applicants with previous experience in addiction science, aging, and/or clinical neuroscience will be given preference, but we are primarily seeking the best candidate to join our group. Successful candidates will have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in neuroscience, psychology, computer science, or a related field, with an excellent publication record for their career stage. They will join a vibrant and rapidly growing group of cognitive neuroscientists using world-class neuroimaging equipment and resources, with significant opportunities within the Institute for career development and promotion to faculty. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. For further information, visit the DICoN Laboratory's website.
