We are seeking an Account Manager to drive growth, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver tailored cushioning and protective packaging solutions across a dense, high opportunity territory.

This role is based on Long Island and covers Long Island, the five boroughs of New York City, and portions of the lower Hudson Valley, including the White Plains area. The majority of business is driven through distribution partners, making strong channel management and relationship building essential to success.

What You Will Do:

As an Account Manager, you will own a defined geographic territory and serve as a trusted advisor to distributors and end users. You will balance new business development with strategic account management, using a consultative selling approach to grow share and deliver measurable customer value.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage a defined territory covering Long Island, NYC (Five Boroughs), and White Plains
  • Grow business through consultative, value based selling of cushioning and protective packaging solutions
  • Develop new opportunities while managing a large book of existing accounts
  • Build strong working relationships with distribution partners and end users through regular in person visits
  • Maintain consistent field activity, including prospecting and existing account coverage
  • Partner closely with internal teams to support pricing, solutions, and customer needs
  • Track pipeline, activity, and opportunities in CRM

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in packaging, industrial products, or distribution driven environments
  • Strong experience managing and growing business through distribution channels
  • Ability to balance hunting and farming within a large book of business
  • Comfort operating in a dense metropolitan territory with heavy day travel
  • Thick skinned, outgoing sales professional who can navigate tough conversations and diverse personalities
  • Strong communication skills and a relationship first mindset

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required (MBA or MS a plus)
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel daily (minimal overnight travel)
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with or selling through distributors
  • Background in packaging, protective packaging, tape, stretch film, corrugated, or shipping and parcel environments
  • Experience selling into manufacturing, logistics, or industrial markets
  • Familiarity with value based or consultative selling approaches
