TEKsystems is seeking an entrylevel Cabling Technician who has recently completed a Low Voltage trade school program and is eager to grow their career in the structured cabling industry. This role will support largescale commercial construction projects and requires handson work installing and terminating network cabling infrastructure. The ideal candidate is dependable, safetyfocused, and willing to learn in a fastpaced environment. Key Responsibilities * Pull, terminate, and test Cat5/Cat6 and fiber optic cables * Terminate keystonestyle jacks and perform basic cable testing * Assist with cable installation on large commercial construction sites * Install and support cabling infrastructure, including: * Network racks * Cabinets * Cable pathways * Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms and telecom closets * Review and interpret job documentation, including: * Floor plans and equipment locations * Reflected ceiling plans * Conduit callouts * Wall elevations * Signal flow diagrams * Cable pull schedules * Follow safety standards and project guidelines at all times Required Skills & Qualifications * Graduate of an* electrical trade school* or similar experience * Strong interest in building a longterm career in the cabling industry * Ability to pull cable and perform physical labor in construction environments * Must have or be able to obtain OSHA 10 Certification * Reliable transportation to job sites * Must pass a driving check * Ability to follow instructions, read plans, and work as part of a team Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Claude, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
