Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY This position serves as a knowledge and resource expert for Patient Access Facilitators. This individual is responsible for assisting with the supervision of staff and supporting management with various functions related to all patient registration activities including patient reception, face-to-face registration, insurance verification, financial counseling, cash collections, chart reconciliation and patient discharge. Individual must demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the registration process and ensures that the team completes the work in a timely fashion. Salary offers may be based on key factors such as education and related experience Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education/Qualification
Minimum of five (5) years of current experience in a hospital admitting and registration department preferred or a combination of education and experience
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Associate degree or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification preferred
Skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrates sound judgment and critical thinking skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and PC and spreadsheet proficiency
Strong Service Excellence skills
