Mechanical Design Engineer III 044

Design and developing products using CAD software. Perform concept and feasibility study for components/systems for automobiles. Benchmarking of competitive products. Preparing conceptual sketches of new products considering the relations between components, functional requirements, allocation of space and component geometry. Designing and developing automotive parts from initial concept through to full production. Creating detailed production drawings for manufacturing. Refining product design to meet quality, safety, regulatory, cost and other requirements. Apply knowledge of the following: Catia, Body-in-White, 3DEXPERIENCE, Digital Mock-Up validation.

Position requires Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related field and five years of progressively responsible experience. Two (2) years of the aforementioned five years of progressively responsible experience must have included: Catia, Body-in-White, 3DEXPERIENCE, Digital Mock-Up validation. Travel and/or Relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required. The purpose of travel and/or relocation would be to work with clients on projects. The frequency of travel and/or relocation will be determined by the needs of clients.
