JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Serves as the initial point of contact for families interested in becoming foster families. Actively recruits foster families and assists with the licensing process paperwork. Facilitates educational presentations and training sessions to support licensing compliance and resource availability. Schedules, plans, and attends recruitment events. Responsible for developing relationships in the community with companies and organizations that can provide resources to foster families. Coordinates linkages to community resources for foster families needing assistance and support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as the first point of contact for families interested in becoming licensed. Contacts interested families within 24-48 hours to share information about our program and the benefits of being licensed through Centerstone's Foster Care. Assists families in completing the initial paperwork to begin the licensing process and submits.
  • Evaluates interested homes and families for initial eligibility.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships in the community with other youth serving partners.
  • Facilitates Foster Parent trainings on topics related to being a Foster Parent and accessing resources. Ensures training materials are up-to-date and available for each training.
  • Collaborates with other members of licensing team and foster parent recruitment staff to schedule and plan recruitment events and activities that reach families interested in providing a safe, temporary home to youth coming into foster care with a focus on school age and older youth.
  • Responsible for developing relationships with local businesses and groups and distribute marketing materials about Centerstone's Foster Care program that can be used to hand out, hang in public areas, and to put in newsletters or email blasts.
  • Provides resources to families in their geographical area such as schedules for support groups, location of foster closets, businesses that provide discounts to foster families, and information on the local providers for registering for childcare vouchers, WIC etc.
  • Utilizes social media platforms to reach out to potential families and promote the benefits of becoming a licensed foster parent through Centerstone's Foster Care.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Knowledgeable of the state licensure requirements for foster homes and families.
  • Skilled in public speaking.
  • Knowledge of multiple social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint presentation experience highly desired.
  • Skilled in event planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required. Bachelor's in marketing or advertising preferred. Experience equivalent may be substituted for degree requirement upon approval.

Years of Experience
2 years of experience in recruitment, public speaking and working with various social media platforms required.

$43,900.00--$61,370.00
