Industrial Engineer - pH and Glass Production

This Industrial Engineer role is designed for an experienced professional who can bridge technical expertise in glass and pH sensor production with strong project management and cross-functional leadership. The position offers the opportunity to drive innovation and operational excellence in a global manufacturing environment.

What is the role about?

We are looking for a Industrial Engineer - pH and Glass Production to join our Group andassist in driving and supporting engineering initiatives focused on product manufacturing and the seamless transfer of production from Germany to the production facility in Anaheim. This role ensures the successful implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The position requires hands-on technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments and international locations.

Which tasks will you perform?

You will:

  • Plan, organize, and manage engineering projects for pH sensor and glass production, including technology and process transfers from Germany to the Anaheim plant.
  • Lead process implementation and improvement initiatives for glass cracking, glass blowing, and assembly operations, ensuring quality and yield targets are met.
  • Own and drive yield improvement actions and process changes based on statistical process control (SPC) data analysis.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of new products and maintain existing product lines, including item masters, bills of materials, and bills of operations using SAP ERP and MES software.
  • Evaluate and implement new equipment and process technologies; assess vendor proposals for equipment purchases and design efficient layouts for implementation.
  • Develop, document, and revise production processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Design workstations, fixtures, and tools using CAD software to optimize production efficiency and safety.
  • Train production staff on new and revised processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze and report on production data, providing actionable insights to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Interface with department managers, leads, and international teams to support product transfers, process improvements, and data management activities.
  • Communicate regularly with global engineering and master data teams to align on production needs and best practices.

What do we expect from you?

You:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing, project management, and technical process development, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Hands-on experience in glass product manufacturing and assembly processes is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience with pH and/or electrochemistry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, LEAN manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to communicate with international teams.
  • Self-starter with the ability to define engineering tasks, quickly learn new processes, and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

The listed salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000 annually, but the actual package offered may vary depending on different factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation for this position would include other elements which include an annual nondiscretionary bonus.
