Position Summary

The College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences (CULLS) is seeking a friendly, reliable student to join our Dean's Office team as an Office Assistant. This position is a great fit for students looking to gain professional experience in a welcoming environment while performing straightforward, day-to-day tasks that help keep the office running smoothly.

Responsibilities



  • Welcome visitors to the Dean's Office and help connect them with the appropriate staff/faculty member.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls.
  • Provide general office support for faculty and staff as needed.
  • Assist with opening and closing the Dean's Office and help maintain a clean, inviting workspace.
  • Support simple marketing tasks such as posting pre-made content to social media, putting up signage, organizing materials, and assisting with digital signage updates.
  • Help with event setup for activities hosted in the University Libraries.
  • Participate in occasional small projects assigned within the Dean's Office.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Currently enrolled at UNM for a minimum of 6 credit hours during the normal school year.
  • Current Work Study award.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear and friendly communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to take initiative and help problem-solve when needed.
  • Comfort with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
  • Prior office experience is preferred but not required.
