UX Research Ops - Program Manager

Role Summary:

Thomson Reuters is reimagining how UX research is communicated and consumed across the business. We are looking for a visionaryUX Research Program Managerwho sits at the intersection of research practice, product thinking, and technical development. This is not a traditional program manager role - this is a builder, a strategist, and an innovator who will fundamentally transform how research insights are discovered and activated across our design and product organization.

About the Role

What You'll Do as UX Research Ops - Program Manager

1. Reimagine the Research RepositoryLead the design and development of a next-generation research repository. Drive the transition toward decision-oriented research artifacts and define what "good" research communication looks like across the organization.

2. Build and Scale Shared AI ToolingIdentify, develop, and scale AI tools that benefit the entire research and design organization - including tooling for synthesis, reporting, metadata querying, and insight tracking from research to implementation. Democratize access to data so insights reach cross-functional teams in design, product, and engineering.

3. Align and Enable the Research OrganizationServe as the single-threaded owner for research AI transformation. Create structure around shared practices, facilitate knowledge sharing, and ensure AI upskilling is consistent and community-driven - not siloed. Help researchers and designers carve out dedicated space to learn, experiment, and grow.

About You:

Required

  • Deep understanding of UX research methodologies (generative vs. evaluative) and research operations
  • Proven program management experience - scoping initiatives, aligning stakeholders, and driving toward outcomes
  • Familiarity with how UX research works and how insights translate into product decisions
  • Experience building internal tools or platforms, not just managing existing ones
  • Comfort working with APIs, MCP integrations, RAG pipelines, and AI tooling; light coding a plus
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across researchers, designers, product, and leadership
  • Systems thinking - connecting foundational research, AI tooling, and insight delivery into a coherent vision

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI agent frameworks or synthetic user/persona research concepts
  • Background in enterprise SaaS or professional services products
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $100,100 USD - $185,900 USD. For Ontario, Canada, the base compensation range for this role is $108,000 CAD - $158,000 CAD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
