The General Laborer is a full-time, seasonal position that requires travel with overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility. Perform a variety of tasks in the concrete paving industry. Operate tools and equipment as needed. Set baskets for highway paving. Help set up and tear down job site for paving projects. Lift heavy objects, maintain, repair, and clean equipment. Complete pre- and post-shift inspections and assist with maintenance or repair of equipment as needed. Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours). Basic maintenance skills. Experience and knowledge of general construction and operating equipment. Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal.
