Competency Requirements:
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises Group Leaders and operators. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training of employees, placing, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Five to ten years experience in management and manufacturing printing industry required. B.A. or B.S. degree in management or organizational leadership or related field is preferred. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment. The office environment is generally climate controlled, well lighted and has a low noise level. This individual will also be required to spend varying amount of time interacting with employees in a production environment. The production environment will at times contain fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in the production environment is usually loud. Job Type: Full-time, 24/7 operating manufacturing plant availability as needed. Amcor offers full medical, dental and vision insurance plans and are provided with this position. If elected, insurance coverage begins the first day of employment. We also offer life insurance, disability and 401k plan with 50% company match up to 6% of contribution.
