Security Officer - Unarmed Full Time

As a Security Officer - Government Perimeter Rounds in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional, where you'll monitor and patrol government locations to help maintain a secure environment. You'll conduct regular rounds, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors and staff with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management to support the security-related needs of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
