What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Document and report any unusual activities, incidents, or security-related concerns observed during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as required during incidents.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related threats or hazards within the healthcare environment and communicate concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter inappropriate behavior and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
  • An active armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
